Mobile gait analysis for the classification of HSP-specific phenotypes and individualisation of symptomatic treatment of HSP
Subproject 2
Project lead: Heiko Gaßner, Jürgen Winkler (Universität Erlangen)
In sub-project 2 "Mobile gait analysis for the classification of HSP-specific phenotypes and individualisation of the symptomatic treatment of HSP", digital technologies are used to further develop HSP-specific gait parameters. The recording of the risk of falling and the provision of walking aids play a key role here. In this sub-project, different HSP-specific gait patterns will be phenotyped using machine learning methods. Furthermore, the risk of falling of individuals with HSP will be identified based on movement patterns recorded with wearable sensors when climbing stairs. A sensor-based evaluation of the individualised therapy response will be conducted as well.
